Equipment

  • Large glass bowl
  • rubber spatula
  • baking sheet
  • Measuring Cups
  • Measuring Spoons

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup peanut butter
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • 4 cups rolled oats

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Add ¾ c peanut butter, ½ c honey, and ¾ teaspoon salt to large microwavable bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds-1 minute on high, until peanut butter and honey are softened. Stir together.
  • Add ¼ c chia seeds and 4 c rolled oats to softened peanut butter mix. Mix together in same bowl. Pour granola mixture onto greased baking sheet, spread out in an even layer.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring once 10 minutes into baking time. Remove when oats are golden brown, but not crunchy. They will harden up out of the oven. Transfer to an airtight container, store in a cool dry place, and use for a week.

Notes

  • You can use smooth or chunky peanut butter depending if you like small peanut chunks in your granola or not.
  • Make sure peanut butter mixture is evenly coating all the oats. And don't spread it out too thin, or it'll burn quickly.
  • Set a timer, it goes from toasted and soft to burnt and too crunchy quickly.
