This chicken salad is healthier than your traditional recipe, but missing none of the delicious chicken salad flavor. Plus, it's great for lunch on the go.

Ingredients
  • 2 large chicken breasts cooked
  • 1.5 cups non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard I use whole grain dijon
  • 1/4 cup mixed nuts chopped
  • 1 cup celery chopped small
  • 1 cup red grapes quartered
  • 1 cup butter lettuce chopped
  • 4 whole wheat pitas
Instructions
  1. Toast 4 whole wheat pitas. 

  2. Mix all remaining ingredients together (except lettuce), stir until well coated by yogurt and mayo.

  3. Fill pitas with chicken salad mixture and lettuce. Enjoy

Recipe Notes

I love this salad served over a bed of butter lettuce or in a toasted whole wheat pita, also with butter lettuce. I fell in love with the texture and mild flavor of butter lettuce paired with this tangy and delicious chicken salad.
